Bank of New Zealand v. Greenwood [1984] 1 N.Z.L.R. 525 a New Zealand case concerning private nuisance, incorporated into English law through the case of Hunter v Canary Wharf.

Facts:Edit

The defendant had a very reflective glass roof, expert evidence shows that the level of sunlight which it reflects is unhealthy to the human eye.

Judgment:Edit

The court held that there was a nuisance, and the reflection of light amounted to emanation.
